John joined The Jaskol Group in 2003 with over twenty years of experience in the financial services industry. John has dedicated his practice to serving exclusively owners of privately held and family controlled businesses. His corporate development skills include: strategic planning, executive incentive compensation planning, valuation, and internal and external buy/sell negotiations. Business and personal planning skills include: wealth and asset transfer planning, business succession planning, valuation and gifting techniques, qualified and non-qualified planning, estate and charitable planning, and intergenerational family planning.
John is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Commerce with a concentration in Business Management.
John is authorized to use the marks of the Certified Financial Board of Standards (CFP® Board). The CFP® certification is highly respected and widely recognized in the financial planning industry. Post-certification requirements of continuing education and ethics disclosure demonstrate to our clients his high standards of professionalism in a changing financial world.
On the personal side, John has been married to Muffy for over thirty years, and they are the proud parents of their son, John Logan. John divides his personal time among his family, golf, exploring his new surroundings in Charleston SC, and several charitable organizations. He served on the Board at the Mainstage Center for the Arts and The Salvation Army, and works actively toward the protection of America’s endangered historical sites as a member of the Civil War Preservation Trust.
